We chose to pitch the designer story together with the new collection. The unique story of a young Finnish woman conquering the world with her rather bold design bikinis appealed to the key media and gained substantial visibility. The results show how media coverage and brand awareness grow hand in hand through continuous PR.

The condom brand Durex launched the international “Give a fuck”-campaign with the objective to raise awareness about the importance of safe sex. The Swedish singer Zara Larsson was the chosen front figure in the Nordics.
The aim was to get the broadest possible media coverage for the important cause. However, we pointed out that to get the reach Durex wanted, we would need a local angle to support the message in order to get the Finnish media interested.
We started to dig deeper. Durex had done a survey that showed interesting differences between the Nordic countries and revealed fun facts when it came to sex and the use of condoms in the Nordics.
We decided to use these facts and angled the news pitch in a way that appealed to Finns. Using the news angle “Finns have more sex than the Swedes” we managed to capture media’s attention and gain a solid coverage in the national media.
